Google Q & A

Question
My new site is now up and running on the internet, but when I search for my company name on Google another site we advertise on comes up, and we don’t even come up on the listings.

Why is this?

Answer
It’ll take a few weeks, sometimes months, before Google starts to serve up your website to searchers this is because they have a “sand box system” where they put all new sites into while they figure out if the website is legitimate.

The site at you advertise on is coming up in Google because it has been around for a while and has that advantage over your new site.

Pride in Work makes sure that when your site goes live for the first time you have a link coming from our websites to you, and that we have submitted a XML site map straight to Google. Both of these get the program at Google that spiders the web to visit your website as soon as possible.
We have had some clients get search results from Google in the first week!
