The website stats are necessary to track visitors through your site to see if your site is focusing on the right keywords;

For example your spending you purchase the keyword Spill Kit on Google Adwords for a $1.50 a click.

You get 500 unique visits to your home page but only 10 of those people go on to make a purchase.

The other 490 leave the site from the page they landed on.

It’s clear from the stats that they where not interested in the Oil Spill Kits.

So we revise the Keyword to Oil Spill Kits and distill the traffic down to just the people clearly interested in Oil Spill Kits.
